CONCEPT
MOTE design is the architectural studio based in Belgrade (Serbia) in 2018. Even before 2018, studio started collaboration with other architect & architectural studios on the design projects. Today, this studio has the need to spread the awareness of the ecological, economical and social changes in the present; creating by taking them as a basic concept. Starting point of all the projects' concepts is ecological problem that takes the action in today, regardless of whether we are creating an architecture, a desing or an illustration. Not relying only on the design of the projects, technical drawings of the porjects shows that we have a tendency to make our sustainable architecture be real.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY of the buildings is MUST nowadays. In the last few decades, European countries have commited themselves to take actions in energy saving and co2 emission reduction. Since then, many ways of building's energy saving evaluations have been defined. Today there are the LEED seritifcation of the green buildings and BREAM sertification for sustainable architecture as two official ones. Serbia has its own law of The Energy Efficiency and sustainalbe architecture, that includes a very need for its one kind of the sertification. By the law, every building has to have its own energy passport, which is the documentation of the reduction of the energy for heating and transmission losses. By this document, each building is qualified by the energy classes from G (the worst) to the A- (the best).
RECYCLING is the process of making the old materials alive again. With the idea of spreading the awareness of healthy environment and saving the natural resources, our concept of the design is based on the use of the recycled and ecological materials. All furniture and fashion design objects are made of these kind of the materials, while their use is flexible and user-friendly. That means that the design is simple, easy to use and construct by the customer itself Its all about the rawness, simplicity and minimalistic geometry.
